She glides over the water
Gentle ripples caressing her lovingly,
Illuminating the night sky
With her radiant beauty.

Silence...
Silence embraces all
As she slowly begins her dance.

She sways
Just as the weeping willow
When the soft breeze
Playfuly glides through her bows.

Alone...
Alone she moves in time
With the heartbeat of the night.

She steps gracefuly,
Slowly at first,
Then faster and faster
Churning the waves
Till the waters foam
Crashes all about her.

Waves beat against her,
As a storm rises in the sky,
Breaking the peace of the night
With lightning and thunder,
And all call as one with her.

Shadows.

She stops.
Utterly spent.
And wonders where.
Her whole life went.
I tried a few new things here and I'm curios as to what you all think:)

That is incredibly beautiful writing. So descriptive, but not so much that it's overwhelming and overpowers the narrative. The balance was done well. And it was so pleasing to the ear, as I read aloud the poems that are rather lyrical, and I loved the graceful flow of it and the sadness that was woven throughout amidst the beautiful imagery, and then crescendoing at the end, showing the woman for what she truly was and how she truly felt inside and how her dance was an escape, a masquerade for her to feel for a moment, for an hour, for a night, like she is someone else who is beautiful who is happy, who is not dancing alone, who is anywhere but there and anyone but her.
At least that is how I read it but it could be about something entirely different! That is sort of the beauty of poetry, of literature, of art, and of song.
